The Oakesdale Drama class has had a busy year so far. After receiving a grant from the Hagan Foundation last fall, the class began work on a stage remodeling project. The remodel includes repainting the old floor and walls of the stage, purchasing a new sound system, new lights, and having a new movable backdrop built. On April 17, the drama class will be hosting "Oakesdale on Broadway!" This will be a talent show for which students in the 3rd-12th grades can audition.

The auditions will take place from March 18-22. In addition, the drama class will be taking a field trip to Central Valley High School on March 14 to attend a production of "Anything Goes!" The class would like to extend a very special thank you to Wilbur-Ellis for their donation of metal for the new backdrop and to Dustin and Wave Warwick for building our new sets.
