Hello Elementary Parents!

As the fall sports season gets busy with middle and high school home games, soccer practice on the football field, and many other activities, we have many families who are opting to have their child(ren) stay at school and wait, rather than go home and then come back.  This is understood for convenience reasons. However, the only students that should be at school after 3pm are those involved in middle or high school practices and games taking place after school.

Elementary students who stay after school to wait for middle or high school games, or who wait for soccer practice cannot wait in the building.  The school day is over at 3pm and there is no supervision available after that time.  It is not okay for students to wait in classrooms, gym, cafeteria-anywhere in the building before their respective events start.

If families would still like their children to wait at the school, they can be on the playground or football field, but again, there will not be adults to watch them. There will not be any supervision to ensure the children stay here, do not get hurt, etc.  If students are found in the buildings, they will not be allowed to stay after school to wait for any event.

Thank you,

Dr. Jake Dingman
