We have received a ton of supplies from the Stuff the Bus event, thanks to the Kiwanis of Colfax. Families should plan to shop for pencils and pens, and students will need to get their own backpacks, but you should be covered with everything else. The supplies will be distributed to classrooms before the first day of school. Have a great one. Dr. D

Registration details, forms, etc., have been posted to the NEWS section of the website at www.gonighthawks.net. You are welcome to print and complete the forms before you come on August 12th, or we will have them here for you as well.
Please take note of the school photo time frame; 10-1 is when Simply Blessed will be here for school pictures. That order form is in the NEWS section as well.
The school supply list is also posted. It is HIGHLY likely that Oakesdale students will receive all their necessary school supplies through the Stuff the Bus campaign again this year. This is a great operation that has helped countless students throughout Whitman County for several years. We are fortunate to be a part of that.

Good Day to EVERYONE! It is the last day of school, by the time this message is sent, the Fun Run will be over, and students are gone.
A few items for you to remember...this summer will have a lot going on at the school and the campus is closed. This means the gym, the weight room, the whole campus...is closed. Please understand that this is not just a wild idea we had to make life difficult for coaches, athletes, teachers who like to be here, or anyone else...there will be significant heavy equipment and significant work being done throughout the campus and for safety purposes, we are closing everything.
If you were at graduation, you heard me talk about knowing the big picture and the whole story; this is it. While you may ask why we need to close the whole campus, just know we need to close the whole campus.
As you can see on the cartoon, registration has been set for August 12th and school starts on August 27th. More information and details will be sent as that date approaches. In the mean time, read some good books, enjoy outside, go to the pool, and have a great summer. Dr. D #NighthawkProud
Thank you for working with us today and keeping the 6-11 graders home. Our space is very limited at the moment and this was very helpful.
Reminder, tomorrow, Tuesday, 6/9 is 8th Grade Promotion at 8:30 and then reward day to Silverwood. All 6-11 grade students need to be here tomorrow. Everyone will attend the promotion, and then we send everyone to the reward day trip. Prior to 8:30, we will gather students in or near their new classrooms. Again, as I have said before, it is very important to us that the 6-11 grade students come to school tomorrow and attend the Silverwood trip. The district pays this cost up front, and it is not cheap. So, we do appreciate the students coming and having a fun day.
There are a few students who are not able to go on field trips; those students should stay home. If you are one of those students, but have 8th grade promotion, you come for promotion, then go home. Thank you. Dr. D
