Grace DeMeerleer and Ashton Thompson, Honors Art students, participated in the NEWESD Regional Art Show. Both student artists submitted masks made from newspaper and cardboard. Grace received Honorable Mention.
To celebrate their achievements, both presented selected art to the fourth and fifth grade group and then to the second and third grade group. Each shared why they like art with Ashton specifically mentioning his love of animation and Grace sharing that she loves to draw but also enjoys acting and playing the guitar.
Following presentations they traveled to Spokane where they enjoyed lunch and viewed the Regional Art Show at the Talbot Event Center at NEWESD 101. Congratulations to Grace and Ashton! #newesd101 #NighthawkProud

Senior, Shawn Bober, a welder, voluntarily identified a need and way to streamline taking the amp and keyboard to games. The new cart didn't have a top platform, so he designed and built one that securely anchors the keyboard. This eliminated one extra piece of equipment. Proud of him and appreciative. #NighthawkProud
